The Kurio field guide
How Kurioworks.
The worlds, the puzzles, the passport, the contract behind the stamps and what the token does and does not do.

Overview
Kurio is a curiosity game on Robinhood Chain. It is small on purpose: a few hand-drawn places, a handful of hidden things, and questions you can only answer by looking carefully.
- You play in the browser. Worlds, puzzles, the collection and the avatar builder need no wallet, no account and no download. Progress is saved in this browser only.
- Stamping is optional. If you want a public record, your wallet stamps a find into the passport book on Robinhood Chain. It costs gas and nothing else.
- It is an early preview. 3 worlds, 15 artifacts and 9 puzzles today. Everything marked planned on this site is not built.
Chapter 02
Worlds
Each world is a single scene you can pan and zoom. Five objects hide in each one, some in plain sight, some in the dark.
| 1. Moss Library | A reading room grown inside an old tree stump. Warm, quiet, a little dusty. |
|---|---|
| 2. Bottle Harbor | A fishing town that fits inside a glass bottle. Dusky, salty, slow. |
| 3. Clockwork Dunes | A desert where old machines sleep under the sand. Bright, dry, ticking. |
Looking around
Drag to move, use the wheel, a pinch or the plus and minus buttons to zoom, and tap anything that looks out of place. A tap that moves more than a few pixels counts as a drag, so you will not find things by accident while panning. Found objects keep a lime ring.
Hints
Every artifact has a one-line hint, shown in the passport panel next to the scene until you find it. Hints point to an area, never to the exact spot.
Chapter 03
Discovery Quests
Three observation puzzles per world. Count things, read things, notice what is different.
Puzzle answers come from the same numbers the scene is drawn from, so a puzzle and its picture cannot disagree. Counting puzzles take a whole number; choice puzzles take one of the listed options. Your browser checks the answer at once and records how many tries it took. There is no timer and no penalty.
A world is sealed when all five artifacts are found and all three puzzles are solved. A seal is a label in your passport. It does not unlock, earn or pay anything.
Chapter 04
Artifact Collection
Every artifact you find joins the collection with a few lines of its own story.
Undiscovered artifacts show as dim outlines with their hint. Found ones show the object, the date you found it and its stamp status: not stamped, practice or on chain. From the collection you can pick several found artifacts and stamp them together.
Clearing the local passport removes finds, solved puzzles and practice stamps from this browser. Stamps already on chain stay on chain.
Chapter 05
Your explorer
Character Customization: build an explorer from our own parts and take it with you.
Choose a shape, body colour, eyes, a topper (sprout, antenna, flower), gear (scarf, explorer hat, goggles, backpack), a backdrop and a mood. The choice is saved in this browser, can be exported as a 1024 × 1024 PNG and shared as a link that carries the whole look in a short code after the # sign, so no server stores it.
Chapter 06
Passport and stamps
The passport has two halves: what this browser remembers, and what your wallet has written on chain.
- Local passport. Finds, puzzle answers, seals and practice stamps, stored under one key in this browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
- On-chain stamps. Your wallet calls the passport book with an artifact id and a fingerprint of the find note. The note text names the artifact, its world, your address and the time you found it; its keccak-256 hash is what goes on chain.
- Self-reported. The contract cannot watch the game. A stamp shows that a wallet claimed a find at a certain block, nothing more. Treat the book as a public diary, not as proof.
- Practice mode. Not in use: the passport book is live.
Chapter 07
The contract
KurioPassportBook is a small contract written for Kurio. Its source and tests are in the project repository.
| Address | 0xf4fb316a78224ccf2234fb6b4fb18f27183303f0 |
|---|---|
| Owner, admin, fee | None. No pause, no upgrade path, no constructor arguments. |
| Holds funds | Never. No function is payable and plain ETH transfers revert. |
| Rules | Artifact ids 1 to 1024; one stamp per wallet per artifact; a non-zero find fingerprint; up to 32 stamps per transaction, all or nothing. |
| Block numbers | Recorded as Robinhood Chain's own block (read from the ArbSys precompile), not the parent chain's. |
| Reads | hasStamp, stampOf, stampCount, stampsOf (paged), explorers (paged), findersOf, totalStamps, explorerCount. |
| Review status | Tested with unit, fuzz, invariant and fork tests. Not independently reviewed yet. |
Chapter 08
Wallets
Any wallet that can add a custom network can reach Robinhood Chain.
Connect from the button in the app. Wallets installed in this browser are listed first; WalletConnect works when the site has it configured; on phones the dialog can open the site inside MetaMask, OKX, Coinbase Wallet or Trust. Connecting asks the wallet to switch to Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) and adds the network if it is missing. Phantom cannot add custom networks, so it is shown but disabled.
Connecting shares your address only. Every stamp opens in your wallet for you to read and confirm. The site never sees a key.
Chapter 09
Live data
What the site reads from Robinhood Chain, and from where.
| Block, gas | Robinhood Chain RPC, refreshed every few seconds through a read-only relay with a method allowlist. |
|---|---|
| ETH price | Chainlink ETH / USD feed on Robinhood Chain (0x78F3556b67E17Df817D51Ef5a990cDaF09E8d3A9). |
| $KURIO facts | Name, symbol, decimals and supply read from the token contract once the address is published. |
| Market numbers | Price, value, volume and liquidity from public market data (GeckoTerminal) once the token trades. Shown as — until then. |
| Passport book | Totals and pages read from KurioPassportBook. |
Chapter 10
$KURIO
$KURIO is the token of Kurio on Robinhood Chain.
The contract address is 0x986afc36d9023be184ffd72c34a40f18e18952b0. It trades on Pons; the buy buttons on this site open its page there.
The game does not need the token. Holding it gives no claim on revenue, assets or decisions and no reward. See the $KURIO page for live numbers once they exist.
Chapter 11
Planned
Written down so nobody mistakes an idea for a feature. None of these exist.
- Community Expeditions. Shared exploration challenges for groups of explorers.
- More worlds. New scenes take the next artifact ids, so existing stamps keep their meaning.
- $KURIO utility. Possibly creative content credits, cosmetic items and premium features. Not designed in detail and not promised.
Chapter 12
Questions
Short answers to what people ask first.
What is Kurio?
Kurio is a curiosity game on Robinhood Chain, in early preview. You explore three small hand-drawn worlds in the browser, find fifteen hidden artifacts, solve nine observation puzzles, dress up an explorer and keep a Curiosity Passport. Stamping finds on chain is optional.
How does Kurio work?
Everything you play runs in your browser and your progress stays there, with no account. If you connect a wallet, you can stamp found artifacts into KurioPassportBook, a small contract on Robinhood Chain that records one self-reported stamp per wallet per artifact. The contract is live.
How do I buy $KURIO?
$KURIO trades on Pons on Robinhood Chain. Use a wallet that can add Robinhood Chain, hold a little ETH there for gas, open the $KURIO page from the buy button on this site and check the contract address against the token page before you confirm.
Which network is Kurio on?
Robinhood Chain mainnet, chain id 4663, with ETH for gas. Wallets that can add a custom network (MetaMask, Rabby, OKX, Coinbase Wallet and others) work. Phantom cannot add Robinhood Chain.
What are the risks?
The game is an early preview and may change. Stamps are public and permanent once on chain. Nobody owns the passport contract, so it cannot be fixed after deployment, and it has not been independently reviewed yet. $KURIO carries no promise of value, income or rewards, its uses are only planned, and its price can go to zero.
Do I need $KURIO to play?
No. The worlds, puzzles, collection, avatar builder and stamping all work without the token. Stamping on chain only costs network gas.
Are stamps NFTs?
No. A stamp is a line in a public book: artifact id, find-note fingerprint, block and time, under your address. It cannot be transferred or sold and has no value attached.
